|The Opening Ceremony of Sino-American Personnel Training “1+2+1” Program Is Held in Our School|
At 4 pm, September 7th, the teachers and students from the experimental class of Sino-American Personnel Training “1+2+1” Program gathered on the 2nd floor hall of the School of Communication to hold the opening ceremony hosted by Chen Xin, Director of Teaching Affairs Office in Yunnan Normal University. With the school leaders’ efforts and preparations, this move is to cultivate innovative talents with international vision. Vice president of Yunnan Normal University Ma Li, Director of International Teaching Wang Ying, Director of Undergraduate Teaching Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Center of Yunnan Normal University Bi Xianjun, Deputy Director of International Office of Yunnan Normal University Kong Yi, Party secretary of School of Communication Wei Hong, Dean Xiong Yongxiang, Deputy Secretary Ma Chunyu, Deputy Dean Zhou Yun, and Deputy Dean of School of Economics and Management Yang Dong were present at the opening ceremony.
50 students from the experimental class of 121 project are the first batch, consisting of the students from School of Communication and School of Economics and Management. They shoulder the mission to improve themselves and promote Sino-US relations, thus having more tasks to complete than other students. In the freshman year in school, the students in the experimental class not only need to maintain their scores above 70 in every subject, pass TEM-4, but also have to quickly improve their English levels. Only by passing IBT and IELTS can they follow their professional courses in Troy University of the United States. Otherwise, life and study will be more difficult.
The students study hard and the teachers are always considerate. The teachers in charge of the 121 program bear the concept of sparing no efforts in learning and living in mind, putting all the students in the first place. Having such responsible teachers will be the biggest comfort for the parents who are concerned about their children. (Reported by Yang Lu)
