|School of Communication, International School and the Australian Exchange Group Carry Out Cooperation Talks on Animation Major|
In order to improve the animation professional ability and strengthen the professional level of animation class students as well as promote the development of foreign cooperation, in the afternoon of June 28th, Dean of School of Media Culture Xiong Yongxiang, Deputy Dean Du Zhongfeng, the Australian Exchange Group and Party Secretary of International School Wei Ying carried out cooperation talks on animation major in a conference room of the Public Opinion Research Base of Yunnan province. Based on the cooperation on international animation major between International School and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, talks are concerned with the development of animation major and a further consultation on the issue of foreign cooperation.
At the meeting, both sides had the detailed explanation on their professional characteristics, faculty, students and other aspects. As the negotiation partner, School of Communication attaches great importance to the cooperation and communication of the animation major. Xiong Yongxiang, dean of the school, introduced the teaching characteristics to International School and the Australian Exchange Group according to the current teaching mode. The school’s existing training program, hardware facilities, faculty and the professional level have many advantages, especially the implementation of the integration class where undergraduates and postgraduates of different grades and different majors are organized together to form the research group guided by the teacher to achieve common progress. At the same time, the school has cooperative communication projects with many universities abroad, such as Troy University’s (1+2+1) experimental class. Foreign exchanges continue to make new breakthroughs. The dean also pointed out that since the inception of the animation major, students’ abilities have improved a lot by participating in the program. Some teachers also participated in the makings of domestic TV dramas and animation works, providing a good foundation for carrying out international cooperation.
