Wei Hong, born in Dongchuan, Yunnan, Han People. She has obtained Ph.D in Literature, and now professor in Yunnan Normal University. She has undertaken the following positions: deputy Party Secretary of College of Finance, deputy dean of School of International Studies, Party Secretary of School of International Studies, and deputy director of Teacher Training Center for the International Promotion of Chinese Language (Kunming). Furthermore, she has been honored as Yunnan Talent Pool for Young and Middle-aged Researchers, Yunnan Famous Teacher, PhD candidate Supervisor at East China Normal University, and member of Committee of Chinese International graduate program. At present, she is Party Secretary of School of Communication, Yunnan Normal University.
Now her research focuses on Chinese grammar, Chinese as Foreign Language, and Chinese International Communication. In recent 5 years, she has published 2 academic monographs, 1 series of Chinese Book planned by Thai Ministry of Education. She also co-authored 3 books, and presided over more than 10 research projects at state and province level. She also published more than 40 academic papers, and has been honored 3 prizes from Yunnan Philosophy and Social Award.
